A few months ago I travelled to my home land. MUNGO NP
Yes, I see this vast landscape as the place that grounds me, brings me to my knees. Takes me to my internal home
I sit in the centre of creation.
You may laugh, or snicker or shake your head and ask, ” what is she talking about, home, she lives in the Blue Mts not Mungo.
Mungo is my spiritual home, my place, the place that gets me and I feel alone with myself, surrounded by wisdom and love. Many times I ask a question of the vast space, I wait for the answer, sometimes it comes quickly, other times it appears as the touch of wind whispering against my cheek, the blue eyed crow swooping overhead, patterns and lines in the cool sands….it comes when I am ready to feel the answer……
I let the landscape speak to me by staying engaged in its surrounds. I breath into the space, endless vistas of life.
Voices in my head speak endless whispers to me , over and over they go………and then the AHA feeling washes over me as I turn with my camera in hand and i make the image , the chunter has stopped. All has been refocused, rearranged and the intuition flows and then CLICK
Mungo National Park, part of the Willandra lakes World Heritage Area. Today three Aboriginal tribal groups care for THEIR country at MUNGO. The Paakantji/Barkindi, Ngyiampaa and Mutthi Mutthi people share the knowledge and ways of their ancestors. It is the most amazing spiritual place for me, so much so I have return every year for 13 years . The wisdom is in the earth and whispering winds, if you remain still long enough they come to you in many forms.
