Sometimes i wonder what would have happened to my state of mind if I had never taken up photography. It was a dark time when i held my first digital camera and went CLICK…..
I was very lucky as I had a few people around me who gave more than they take, have you ever noticed them. Those takers, that suck the life out of you, who are only interested in themselves, who cant wait until you have finished the sentence to switch the conversation back to them, the TAKERS.
I mean we all have our stories some are beautiful, some are sad, we all have our pain and issues to deal with, some we deal with and some we dont…………sometimes you just have to be a taker and be comforted in that moment of great need. Thats not the TAKERS I am talking about.
GIVERS care about what you are saying, they listen and are right there with you in that moment. GIVERS care about you even though they cant fix it or solve it they are just there and on your level. GIVERS pick up on the nonverbal information, they are sensitivity to what is being communicated. TAKERS cant see a thing except themselves, they can mouth some polite words and then they move back to self……
The man in the picture is kind, sensitive and fully aware of the other, the ginger cat. The cat is homeless and lives in the park in the Imperial Gardens in Kyoto. Each day the man visits the cats, feeds it and comforts it, touches it and listens to its purr as it sits upon its lap……
The cat comforts the man and stays warm and close, its heart beats with joy and both share a moment……its a beautiful relationship when both can be givers and takers at the same time……
