Well, the time has come after years and years of procrastination. Why has it taken so long?
I really dislike writing or is it typing, or is it spelling and grammar? I can sit down with another human and talk, discuss, compare, argue, debate, LISTEN and be open to many many points of view.
When it comes to sharing the written word I go to pieces and get all tense inside and fearful. Yes, that’s it fearful, it won’t sound right or it won’t be perfect, the bloody comma will be in the wrong place and so it goes on inside my head…
When I was looking for an image for my first post I found this one of a young brown pelican learning how to dive into the water – headfirst she went in, so that’s me headfirst I go into the deep deep waters of the unknown. I watched this pelican for about 2 hours whilst I was on San Cristobal Island in Ecuador. It was a special moment and one of pure joy to be an observer with a camera in hand…
The pelican didn’t mind how many mistakes it made as it tried to dive and land on the water without tipping over, it kept on trying, at the same time bringing a sense of fun and laughter to the onlookers.
This was my first ever big photography trip as a budding photographer and this is where I will start my BLOG diving in like the young pelican full of enthusiasm and hoping to not drown in the technology of it all…
